HOLY SHIT. I’m going to see KE$HA in 5 days!!!! I’ve never been more fucking pumped to see someone and I just don’t know how to handle myself until sunday night. When I found this quote I automatically felt a connection to it. My dream is to be part of a successful, touring band and that’s been my dream for a very long time, unfortunately, I don’t get much support from the people around me (parents, family, etc.)…but! I won’t let that stop me from making my dream a reality. I know I’ll have to work extra hard to prove to them that I can do this, and some day they’ll notice (:

Thank you All Time Low, Yellowcard, Hey Monday, and The Summer Set for making March 28, 2011 one of THE BEST nights of my life.

I took my sister to her first concert last night as a Christmas gift, and her excitement from the night was almost better than the actual show. But seriously…the show was pretty amazing :). The Summer Set opened and I actually had a lot of fun during their set! Hey Monday was obviously awesome, and my sister is practically in love with Cassadee, so she definitely had fun during their set. Yellowcard was really cool too, their drummer was insane! And finally…ALL TIME LOW! haha they are always a good time, and I really liked their intro, it was a good “pump up for the set” intro. I crowd surfed for the first time and I’m pretty sure I’ve never done anything more fun, I can’t wait to do it again at the next show :D the set list was practically perfect, and they played a song I thought I’d never hear live…not telling ;)

Hope all you ATL fans get to go check em out on The Dirty Work Tour, you won’t be disappointed.

the A Rocket To The Moon concert last night was so fun! Go Radio, Runner Runner, Valencia, Anarbor opened and gahhh I love Go Radio sooo much <33. Runner Runner was really fun too hahaha, the bass player was hilarious, pointing and looking at us through their whole set. But oh my gosh last night…the scariest thing EVER happened..after Anarbor played we were waiting for Rocket to come on and all of a sudden I started feeling kind of dizzy and out of my body. So I told my friends that I’d go hangout in the back so they could stay up front…and then literally I could not see or hear and my legs felt like they were gonna just collapse. My friends Manda and Kellie helped me to the back before I passed out right in the middle of the crowd. That was probably literally the scariest experience ever, not being able to see being the absolute worst part. Once we got to the back and I got a drink it was like nothing even happened…so weird. It was actually fun watching rocket play being in the back cause we got to dance around and just do whatever. I’m pretty sure I won’t be forgetting that night for a very long time. The Hard Part...

Now I know what bands mean when they say “it’s taken LOTS of hard work to get where we are today” and all that. Starting out is the hardest step in doing anything, especially when you’re talking about making music. Making music and writing songs is sooo fun and it’s been my dream for a very long time to make that my career, and hopefully one day I will be able to tell people that that’s what I do when they ask what my job is. Right now I’m at the point where the band is composed of only myself and our drummer…so that’s mostly whats holding us back from moving forward, and the lack of available musicians in our area doesn’t help much either. Even being just a two-person band, we’ve made some progress; we have at least 6 complete songs and are still writing more, and this summer we’ve made plans to record! I’m pretty excited about that (: Sooo yeah, starting a band is hard work, but I really think that we’d be able to get somewhere if we keep going at the rate we have been! Oh my god. Last night I had one of the best nights EVER with my best friends in the whole world. At first I thought it was going to be a night from hell, considering we went to see Justin Bieber…but it ended up being AMAZING and soooooo funny.

Sooo yeah… justin bieber. Suprisingly it was better than I expected it to be! Some parts were pretty funny (every clip of a crying/screaming fan-girl) and some were really touching. And serenading people in the parking lot from the car was pretty entertaining too ;)

On the way home from bieber, we blasted music and put the windows down and that is seriously like one of my favorite things to do! Laughing at eachothers BEAUTIFUL singing voices and screaming at the top of our lungs…<3 lol.

I’m sooooo glad to have these girls as my best friends :) And I know that we’ll never change….even though we should probably grow up soon………nah.

I hope you all are as lucky as I am and have great friends to make memories with! Thanks for reading what I say <3

Hmm…I wouldn’t really consider forgiveness to be a gift. It’s more like an obligation, or another one of those things we do without putting thought in. But what about when you have been mistreated and taken advantage of so many times that all you want to do is block out the opposing force? I’ve had to forgive many times, even when I wanted to do the exact opposite. In some cases, it’s shown me that compassion is a key trait to have and express; In others, it has shown me that forgiving leads to an endless cycle of mistrust and hurt. The key thing to remember is that you have to be one step ahead of forgiveness, if you get what I mean…you have to know how to play the game, and whether or not your choice will come back to haunt you.

The worst part about forgiving someone, to me, is when they use it as a way to make sure they’re on your good side. I’d rather you do wrong, apologize, and actually want me to forgive you than just want me to not be mad at you anymore so you can have a clear conscience. Shallow people like that don’t deserve to be forgiven, in my opinion.

But I didn’t want this post to be all depressing and make me look like I hate people and I want them to be punished forever for their wrongs. I do believe that we should all be forgiven of our sins and wrong-doings….but for the right reasons, and we should be honestly thankful for forgiveness, not just satisfied. I hope this made some sense, I just needed to get some current issues off my chest in a way that would get my point across without causing total chaos.
